          Gudrun (Barbara) Sibbons German (b, 1925) Original Oil on Canvas Flamenco Dancer. Barbara (Gudrun) Sibbons was born in Annaberg, Silesia, Germany in 1924.

          After leaving school her art studies took her to Berlin, Breslau and Hamburg. Her art training was interrupted by the start of the war during which time she served as a nurse.

          Size 35 x 53cm.

          Two years after the war she found employment in Hamburg as a doctor’s secretary. In Hamburg she met Bill Sibbons the portrait painter. In 1949 they moved to London and were married. Working first as a laboratory assistant and painted as a hobby.
