          Amitabh Bachchan once said of him, ‘[He] used to make films from the heart. And only from the heart…’ Dulal Guha directed some of the biggest hits of the 1970s, like Dushman, Do Anjaane and Pratigya.

          Anirudha Bhattacharjee met up with his son, Putul Guha (Partha Guha), in December 2019 in Mumbai, to talk about the illustrious career of Dulal Guha, which lasted thirty-five years, from 1955 to 1990.
