Eisbrecher Biography
Eisbrecher is an EBM/industrial metal band from Fürstenfeldbruck, Germany. The band consists primarily of Alexx Wesselsky (vocals) and Noel Pix (lead guitar and programming), with live support from Jürgen Plangger (guitar), Rupert Keplinger (bass), Achim Färber (drums), and Max Schauer (keyboards and programming).
Jürgen replaced former guitarist Felix Primc; Oli Pohl replaced former bass guitarist Martin Motnik. Eisbrecher's style belongs to the so called Neue Deutsche Härte (New German Hardness) subgenre of hard rock.
After leaving Megaherz because of creative differences in 2003, Alexx Wesselsky got together with Noel Pix, who composed the synths and programming for Megaherz's albums Himmelfahrt and Kopfschuss.
Eisbrecher, the brainchild of the two men, combines their musical ideas, concepts, and styles.
Eisbrecher, like Megaherz, has a much stronger fan base abroad (especially in the USA) than in Germany itself.
